OUR WORK

Peo ya Phetogo (PYP) welcomes partners who share a passion of ensuring digital inclusion in the country and continent considering the impact of the 4th industry on the next generation. We have partnered with global organizations listed below and continue to be open to further collaborations on any of our existing programs.

FUTURE TECH CLUBS

Future tech clubs are technology clubs for children focusing on digital skills development. The clubs are are a place where young children aged between 10-15 years, learn basic digital literacies and can further progress to advanced skills such as programming and robotics.

The technology skills are then used to introduce problem solving skills considering contextual issues in communities. The clubs have their own unique names, and each club consists of an estimated twenty members and one leading mentor. Modeled around extra-curricular clubs, they are designed to be a hub fostering innovation and exposure to the world of Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics (STEAM),

Club leaders are volunteer graduate students from several universities and universities of technology who we partner with.

PYP TECH LEADERS PROGRAM

The PYP tech leaders program encourages the use of technology for social good through community based projects, advocacy and policy development. The program is designed to train and support 5 leaders who are in their final year of university studies or are early career graduates and exceptional community tech leaders (with no formal qualifications) from all provinces in the fields of technology . The program provides an online leadership in technology skills development with modules designed by leading women and men in technology and social inclusion. The fellows are then required to complete industry based “technology for good” projects working with leading technology partnering companies.

TECHY TEACHERS

This program is designed to provide support to schools on digital integration with a focus on enhancing the teaching and learning process. In this program we work with the school management as well as teachers to design a digital skills program that empowers the school to use basic and advanced technology for teaching and learning. As each school that we work with is unique, we provide tailored programs for the various schools enabling them to explore technologies which are within their reach.
